PROJECT GALLERY

Trautman Associates has designed projects in numerous southeast Michigan locations and several additional locations throughout Michigan including, homes in Grand Rapids, Monroe and Alpena. Also, we have designed and/or consulted on homes in Ohio, South Carolina, and Louisiana.

Birmingham, Michigan Residence
This existing home was reconfigured to accommodate a spacious new studio for the owners. The former garage was relocated to create a porte-cochere. Additionally the kitchen and bathrooms were completely remodeled to fit the functionality of the homeowner's needs.

Maybee, Michigan Residence
The Maybee residence was custom designed to meet the special needs of our client. The first floor is designed for total accessibility while maintaining a traditional home feel. The second floor is nestled underneath a steeply pitched roof using large format roof windows to allow for significant light. see images

Farmington Hills, Michigan Residence
Our main objective in designing this residence was to seamlessly integrate accessible features into a working home. Some of the features include an elevator shaft to the garage giving access to the second floor and basement levels. The first floor was reconfigured to provide for the client's master suite. And the front entryway was also reworked to provide a ramp with landscape features hiding it from general view. see images

Ada, Michigan Residence
This contemporary residence was built to take advantage of a premium property site. As an integral part of the design the home was incorporated into a steeply sloping site allowing for expansive nature views to the rear of the house. The front facade is tucked behind the street allowing for extended privacy. see images

Manchester, Michigan Residence
This home was built on a large rolling property and designed to compliment it's rural surroundings. In fitting with the area's scenic nature the home has a dramatic great room space serving as the focal point of the design. Structural timber trusses expand the space while large windows overlook the pristine farm land that surrounds the residence. Reclaimed wood from an old barn nearby was reused in construction.
